Right of Way Community Focus
The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (Uniform Act) applies to all acquisitions of real property or displacements of persons resulting from Federal or federally-assisted programs where new rights of way are being purchased for public projects. The Uniform Act provides the regulations that public agencies must follow when building public projects. It must also be followed by those impacted by public projects, such as property owners and displacees persons. The Uniform Act regulates the items listed below, which are the focus topics of the Right of Way Community.

The Owner Forum is a place for those facing the loss of property, place of business, or place of residency due to a public project and the government’s purchase of new right-of-way for a public project. They can obtain answers and directions from our professional members to address issues they face, resulting in a smoother process and a more successful outcome.
