Choosing a Property Owner’s Appraiser

  We’ve had a recent question by a commercial property owner whose property is being taken with the use of eminent domain. He is a real estate broker and regularly works with several seasoned commercial property appraisers, but they have not had experience in eminent domain. The owner wants to know if he should use one of these appraisers who he already knows. What would you recommend to this property owner and why? Is part of your recommendation because of a particular URA code that you can site?
